District Sports Association(DSA), Kalimpong was formed in the year 2023 under the visionary dynamic leadership of Olympian & Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Awardee Bharat Chetri, former Captain of the Indian Hockey Team.
With a dream to lift athletes from village to Olympic podium, DSA Kalimpong is the apex body driving structured sports development across the entire district.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

- To promote, develop, and popularize sports and games across Kalimpong District, creating equal opportunities for youth and ensuring access to modern sports infrastructure for all communities.
- To educate the public of Kalimpong District on the value of sports in building health, discipline, character, and social harmony.
- To organize District, Regional, and State-level tournaments and games in collaboration with affiliated District Associations of various sports disciplines.
- To represents Kalimpong District at Zonal, Regional, State, and National-level meetings, competitions, and games.
- To raise the standard of sports competitions and establish sports & youth clubs, academies, hostels, and a Sports Museum in Kalimpong District.
- To facilitate scholarships, advanced training camps, and mentorship programmes for promising athletes to enable them to compete at national and international levels, in line with Mission 2036 — From Village to Olympic Podium.
- Create archives of achievements, biographies, and records of sportspersons.
- Publish annual reports and magazines highlighting contributions
